Obituary

On Saturday May 22, 2021 at 11:01am our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend Anita Louise Lessard Jackman peacefully passed through the veil we call death. Her daughter Barbara was by her bed side at the Jordan Valley Hospital at the time of her passing. Waiting on the other side of the veil to be reunited with her was the love of her life Blaine T Jackman and her parents Anson Louis and Ruby Lessard.
 
Louise as known by her family and friends was born on November 19th, 1937 to Anson Louis Lessard and Ruby Fraser Lessard.
 
She along with her parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in December 1946.
 
She graduated from Springville High school in 1956.
 
On August 31st, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple she married her sweetheart Blaine Taylor Jackman. He passed away January 5,1991.
 
While living in Salt Lake City they were Apartment managers and she worked as a motel housekeeper and they welcomed their first child a son (David) into their family in 1962. They then bought a home in Magna, Utah, where they welcomed 3 more children into their family. LeAnn (1966), Daniel (1968), Richard (1970). They moved their family to West Jordan in February 1971.  They welcomed 2 more girls to their family. Barbara (1971), Sarah (1977).  During her lifetime she served in several church callings including a librarian, R.S visiting teacher, Cub Scout den mother.
 
Her work history included places such as Evans laundromat, Ronald McDonald House, Salt Lake Nursing and Rehab, and Maverick gas station.  She opened her home to many of her children's adult friends who needed temporary shelter. After retirement she provided care for her grandchildren. She loved taking long bus rides on UTA, helping with humanitarian projects, family history and indexing.
 
She was proceeded in death by her husband Blaine Taylor Jackman and her parents Anson Louis Lessard and Ruby Fraser Lessard.
 
She is survived by her children David (Sharon) of Salisbury, North Carolina.  LeAnn (Jim) Poppe of Syracuse, Utah. Daniel (Sherry) of Kearns, Utah.  Richard of West Jordan, Utah. Barbara Jackman who was living with her in West Jordan. Sarah (Robert) Wilkinson also of West Jordan. Her sister Juanita (Gary) Carter of West Valley City. And many beloved nephews and a niece.
 
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 at 11AM following a viewing from 9am to 10:45am. At the church 7268 south 2700 west in West Jordan. She will be buried in the Evergreen cemetery in Springville, Utah.
