Shirley Ann (Harman) Barker

Shirley Ann Harman Barker completed her time on earth on July 18, 2022. She was born on December 17, 1937, to Clifford and Alice Harman, the second child of 5. She spent her childhood in Granger, Utah. In 1956 she married Jesse Ray Barker of Springville. They had five children: Gayle Watkins, Kathleen Burggraf, Steven Barker, Karen Smith, Craig Barker.

Shirley held many positions in the LDS Church (Primary teacher, Young Women leader, Relief Society). She worked for many years for the Nebo School District at Springville Jr. high and the Senior High.  She enjoyed working with the students and felt proud of them as they entered adulthood.

Shirley was an excellent seamstress and photographer. She took many family photos, wedding photos, school dance photos and photos of nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Ray Barker and her son Craig Barker. She has 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Shirley was well loved and will be greatly missed.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville.  Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Springville 5th Ward LDS Church located at 860 East 200 North in Springville with a viewing held that morning at the church from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services.  Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
